ABOUT THE COURSE

Have you ever wondered how to respond when a client asks you about a shiny new modality? Or wondered how to share research findings with your clients in an easy to understand way?

MTAM Journal club presentations provide a fun and relaxed forum for RMTs to stay up to date on developments that affect massage therapy clinical practice and engage them in informal discussion and interaction.

In our regular MTAM Journal Club events, the MTAM Research Committee selects just one article to review and discuss. In the Mega Journal Club, 3 great articles related to popular trends from 2019 will be presented and discussed.

You don’t need to have mad research literacy skills to join in this event ~ just a general interest in research and how it can add to your massage therapy clinical practice.

Small group activity facilitated by the MTAM Research Committee will help you understand each article and how it can apply to your practice.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Understand which parts of a research article to focus on
  • Understand key research terms
  • Understand how to take current research findings and apply them to your practice
  • Learn how to explain research findings in a way that will be relevant and easy for your clients to understand

Articles to be posted shortly for those who want to pre-read.
