One of the most exciting events in a M.T.’s life is the day that either they give birth, or are asked to attend the birth of someone in their life – whether friend, family, or client.

For those who have wondered what it would be like to attend such a profound experience, this is the session for You!

From an understanding of What Exactly a Doula/Labour Support Provider is & does, to a persuasive overview of why/how M.T.’s are exquisitely well-matched in this role, the goal of this course is to provide the participant with fundamental information related to the task of the M.T. as LSP/Doula.

Teaching methods will include lecture, discussion, dvd presentations – births, & several hands-on exercises for what a M.T. might do in this context.

Our goal is to whet your appetite for the idea of doing a full 3 day Labour Support training – Hopefully with Trimesters!

  1. Understand & be able to explain the Role of the Doula/ Labour Support Provider, and the Benefits of having a M.T. fill this role.
  2. Understand what ‘connection’ means within the Birthing environment.
  3. Describe the kinds of tasks that a M.T. Doula/Labour Support Provider can perform.
  4. Perform 3 modes of Support that can be incorporated into Birth Support/Labour Support work.
  5. Take away Written & Online Resources as references for future use related to Birth Work/Labour Support as a M.T.
