TMJ Dysfunction (“The Appetizer”)

From competence to mastery*; for those RMTs who find their interest in TMJ Dysfunction and desire the full “meal”, continue on to The Entree Days 2 & 3.

Decompression Mobilizations, access and treatment of the Lateral Pterygoid m., blending with visual anatomical material, demystifying the noises of the anteriorly displaced Articular Disc, and its relationship to treatment planning.  This full toolbox will enable the RMT to network with other practitioners treating TMJ Dysfunction: Dentists/Hygienists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, and Speech Language Pathologists/voice coaches.

While it is true that the incidence of TMJ Dysfunction is plentiful, the desire and ability to treat it remains a niche-building opportunity in many RMT communities.  Participants will receive networking materials to help proclaim their ability to address this issue, as well as an invitation for ongoing support in the LinkedIn discussion group Craniomandibular Practitioners.

* Mastery is a lifelong learning process acquiring the tools to be a trusted authority, cultivating effective skills and the humility informed by knowing every answer brings many more questions.
