ABOUT THE COURSE

Assessment & Rehabilitation of the Lumbar Spine and Pelvis will review the musculoskeletal anatomy of the area, and the most common injuries associated with the region. You will develop a hands on systematic assessment protocol to determine the extent and cause of the injury.  Rehabilitation strategies will also be discussed. This is a practical course and participants should come prepared to participate in the assessment protocol as a therapist and client. 


ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Glen Bergeron PhD, CAT(C)

Glen is Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Health at The University of Winnipeg.  He has a BPE from University of Manitoba in 1973, an MSc from the University of Alberta in 1978 and a PhD from the University of Manitoba in 1993.  He certified with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) in 1975.  He has been a member of the Canadian Medical Team for five Olympic Games and many other international games and world championships.

Glen was a founding member of the Manitoba Athletic Therapists Association and the Sport Medicine Council of Manitoba.  He is a frequent presenter to conferences and workshops.

He is currently the Chair of the MBIA “Heads Up” Dinner and Auction (2003 – present) ; a member of the Board of Directors for the Clearing House Committee with the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities; a Board member of the Winners Foundation, Board member of the St. Raphael Wellness Center, a member of the Manitoba Physical Education Supervisors Association, Board member of the Canadian Council of University Physical Education and Kinesiology Administrators (CCUPEKA), Co-Chair of the Kinesiology Coalition of Manitoba, and a Director of the Manitoba Medical Services Foundation.

Cancellations made by March 27, 2023 receive a full refund. Cancellations made from March 27 – April 10, 2023 receive a 50% refund on the full cost of the course. No refunds will be given on cancellations made after April 10, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.
